Angry clerk holds boss hostage

Lebowakgomo - A senior education department official in Greater Sekhukhune was rescued after being held hostage for more than three hours on Tuesday, said Limpopo police.
Inspector Ntobeng Phala said John Mashinini, 53, was held for about three hours by an administrative clerk who was not satisfied with his redeployment.
Phala said the clerk went to Mashinini's office wanting him to nullify the redeployment.
When he could not, the man locked the office door and demanded Mashinini write a letter regarding his posting.
The clerk was being redeployed from a high school in Gamasemola to a college in Groblersdal.
Police were called in and arrested the clerk, Phala said.
