Johannesburg - Two men were arrested in Mthatha on Saturday for stealing a bread truck, said Eastern Cape police.
"The two men hijacked the vehicle while it was parked in town.
"The driver and his crew were offloading bread when two armed men arrived," said spokesperson Superintendent Mzukisi Fatyela.
The hijackers blindfolded the driver and crew and forced them into the back of the truck.
"The truck was on the way out of the city when it collided with a council-owned vehicle and overturned.
"The two hijackers were injured and are under police guard at a local hospital," he said.
The driver and crew sustained minor injuries in the crash.
