Johannesburg - A 45-year-old man was shot and killed by three armed men at a Hartbeespoort holiday resort in Brits on Sunday morning, North West police said.
"According to information we received, the man heard some noise outside his caravan at 02:30 and when he went to investigate, the three men shot and killed him," said Captain Thabo Makhafola.
After shooting the man, the three gunmen allegedly moved on to the next caravan and robbed its occupants of personal belongings like cellphones and bags, he said.
"They then fled the scene in a white Mazda Midge," said Makhafola.
No arrests have been made and Makhafola warned members of the public to avoid confronting the three men should they spot them as they were "armed and considered dangerous".
"They should rather report to the nearest police station," he said.
