Johannesburg - Five Pakistani men suspected of involvement in the murder of a Mozambican mother and daughter made a brief appearance in Soweto's Protea magistrate's court on Tuesday, SABC radio news reported.
The bodies of the victims, both Muslim women dressed in traditional clothing, were found on the Old Potchefstroom Road in Lenasia earlier this year. They had been shot dead.
A seriously wounded eight-year-old girl was found at the scene. The girl later recovered from her gunshot wounds.
The men are allegedly part of a gang. The case was adjourned to Monday next week, when the men are expected to apply for bail.
