Truck crushes car on N3

Bloemfontein - A 42-year-old father was killed and his wife and three children injured when they were rear-ended by a heavy truck on the N3 toll road near Warden on Friday night, Free State police said on Saturday.
Constable Christopher Mophiring said Petrus Reeves from Port Elizabeth died at the scene.
His wife Judy, 38, and their three children, aged 17, seven and three were injured. They were admitted to the Frankfort Hospital for treatment.
The accident happened around 21:00 some 25 kilometres from Roadside when the Reeves family in a yellow Ford Escort were rear-ended by a truck and sent spinning across the freeway.
The truck driver, Siyabonga Zulu, 32, from Verulam was charged with culpable homicide.
Zulu was released and would appear in court at a later date once the investigations into the accident were completed, Mophiring said.
