NC vehicle ads fraudulent

Kimberley - Police have warned the public in the Northern Cape to be wary of leaflet ads that show pictures of vehicles on sale and which urge prospective buyers to forward deposits.
Senior superintendent Rita Crafford of the Kimberley police said fliers from "Wheels Direct" have been delivered to postal addresses all over the province.
Buyers are encouraged to pay a deposit of R2 000 into a bank account to ensure that they receive the vehicle of their choice.
Deliveries were promised within a week, said Crafford, but after paying the deposit, buyers never heard from Wheels Direct again.
