Plettenberg Bay - South Africa has become home to the biggest hot cross bun in the world, weighing in at 408 kilograms, SABC news reported on Sunday.
The bun, made by Plettenberg Bay chefs in the Southern Cape, has been entered into the Guinness World Book of Records.
The monster, displayed outside the Beacon Island Mall, was auctioned to raise money for charity.
A curious onlooker described it as "incredible and huge".
"It would take me a whole year to eat that," he said.
Another onlooker said: "It's totally amazing, I have never seen such a big one before."
"I hope it's tasty," she said.
