Two shot in Steers robbery

Johannesburg - Two people were shot and wounded when a gunman robbed a fast food outlet in Benoni on Monday, Gauteng police said.
Police spokesperson Eugene Opperman said a man entered Steers in Northmead Square, held staff at gunpoint and took cash.
Police and private security guards quickly arrived and the robber fired several shots. A woman and an ADT security guard were wounded and taken to hospital.
The man was overpowered and arrested. The stolen money was recovered and a firearm was confiscated, Opperman said.
