Mpofu's application dismissed

Johannesburg - The Johannesburg High Court has dismissed suspended SABC group CEO Dali Mpofu's application for leave to appeal an earlier court ruling against him, SABC news reported on Monday.
Mpofu was challenging a ruling by Judge Antonie Gildenhuys that the board meetings convened to suspend Mpofu were valid.
In his initial application Mpofu asserted that the board meetings were irregular as he and other executive members had been excluded from participating.
Gildenhuys found that Mpofu had not been entitled to attend the meetings and that he had voluntarily recused himself.
