Leadership race 'one-man show'

Bloemfontein - The ANC leadership race in the Free State to be decided this week during its provincial conference, seems to be a one man show.
African National Congress members on Sunday said current chair Ace Magashule would probably stand uncontested as party leader.
Rumours that deputy-chair Pat Matosa would stand against Magashule seem to be unfounded.
It also looks as if the ANC Women's League and the ANC Youth League in the province will support Magashule.
ANC spokesperson Playfair Morule confirmed on Sunday that the conference would go ahead despite renewed threats of possible court action to stop the gathering.
The governing party faces four High Court applications from disgruntled party members.
Morule confirmed the party had received a letter from "the usual suspects" who threatened to apply for a court interdict to stop the conference from taking place.
The conference is scheduled to start in Parys on Wednesday.
Morule said the conference would go ahead, no matter what.
"Nobody can stand against a democratic process," he said.
