ID slams 'selective justice'

2003-08-24 16:14

Johannesburg - Independent Democrats leader Patricia de Lille said on Sunday she was considering a legal challenge to government over its decision not to prosecute deputy president Jacob Zuma.

"The decision not to prosecute deputy president Jacob Zuma has shocked me especially since the Scorpions' head Bulelani Ngcuka has publicly confirmed that there is prima facie evidence implicating him in criminal activity.

"This form of selective justice is typical of the government," De Lille said.

Ngcuka announced on Saturday that Zuma would not be prosecuted over allegations of corruption connected with South Africa's multi-billion rand arms deal, despite indications that there may be a case for him to answer to.

De Lille said: "I had to face ridicule, insults and even death threats when I first made public the irregularities surrounding the arms deal and was also told that there was no prima facie evidence.

"Now we find there is prima facie evidence and yet there is no prosecution. I intend consulting my attorney in order to consider the appropriate action to take," De Lille said.

"u wil fight but nothing wil change this is a new south africa guys ,stop stressing urself.i think now is the time to learn other languages and stop being fooled by ur old fathers behaviour."
Surprise, surprise, we do know and can speak and spell other languages - were brought up to speak other languages in order to have respect and understanding of other languages. Most "wit Afrikaners" can actually speak more than one language dude!!!! It is a matter of leaving our language alone - it has a right just as English and all the other languages.
