Pietermaritzburg - ANC whip Peggy Nkonyeni has demanded that KwaZulu-Natal Social Development MEC Prince Gideon Zulu publicly on air apologise to all women he insulted in an interview with Ukhozi FM and SABC radio.
Zulu allegedly said during the interviews on Saturday that those who follow and support the floor-crossing legislation are fond of high positions "which are bigger than their mothers' bums."
He apparently said this at a ceremony where IFP president Dr Mangusuthu Buthelezi was awarded the freedom of Greytown.
Nkonyeni accused Zulu of sexism.
A visually aggressive Zulu repeated the words that were broadcast and apologised ostensibly grudgingly.
It's not the first time that Zulu has been accused of using obscene language towards women.
Another ANC whip, Happy Blose, lodged a formal complaint earlier this year when Zulu apparently also referred to her
mother's private parts.
Zulu allegedly also referred to those who did not attend Buthelezi's ceremony as being drunk.
