N West ANC supports Mbeki

Johannesburg - The ANC in the North West has come out in support of President Thabo Mbeki to retain his position as the party's president, the SABC has reported.
The party held it's Provincial general council in Taung on Friday night.
Other names on the province's preferred list of candidates for the top leadership positions were Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma for deputy president, Mosiua Lekota for the position of secretary-general and Joel Netshitenzhe for the national chairperson's position.
