Cape Town - An application by travel agent Graham Gedult for the reduction of his R100 000 bail in the parliamentary travel voucher fraud case, did not materialise on Friday.
Gedult, of Star Travel, was R50 000 short of the required sum when he initially appeared with six other travel agents and their employees in connection with a R13m travel scam at parliament and allegedly involving MPs.
However, when he appeared in the Cape Town magistrate's court on Friday, before Alta le Roux, the court heard that he had managed to pay the outstanding amount.
Scorpions prosecutor Jannie van Vuuren said after the short proceeding that the question of any possible reduction bail was still under discussion between himself and the defence counsel.
The case was postponed to September 9.
