ANC 'owes Mbeki an apology'

Dear Editor,
Yesterday, the Supreme Court reiterated the question on most peoples' minds: "Why did Nicholson bring political meddling into his ruling?"
I am glad the court said that Nicholson went beyond the call of duty, ruling on subjects that were never in question in court.
Well, now that the ANC is aware that they acted rashly and foolishly, I believe they owe president Mbeki an apology. Like him or not, what his own party did to him was inexcusable and just plain rude.
I am not an ANC supporter and do not have much of an opinion on Mbeki, but what I do know is that the ANC doesn't deserve him as a member.
Judge Nicholson never said that there was definite political meddling; he just mentioned that the he can't rule out that possibility. And this phrase led to the dismissal of the head of state.
The ANC will now do as they usually do, mitigating their actions and changing their reasons for sacking Mbeki, never admitting they have done anything wrong. I would, for once, to see this party admit they failed and apologise.
But as always, they were never wrong!
