Cape Town - Former Deputy Social Development Minister David Malatsi and New Labour Party Peter Marais appeared briefly in the Cape Town magistrate's court on Friday.
Both men are accused of receiving R400 000 in kickbacks from the developers of the Roodefontein golf estate in Plettenberg Bay.
Malatsi, who quit the deputy minister's post in January this year after the outcry over Roodefontein, was previously Western Cape MEC for development planning.
Both men who have declared their innocence are out on R10 000 bail each.
The case was postponed to July 7 for further investigation.
