Eskom is set to seek a 34% hike in electricity tariffs, back from the 88% rise it had been considering due to the global economic slowdown, a newspaper says.
Johannesburg - The chief financial officer of South Africa state utility Eskom, Bongani Nqwababa resigned on Monday, he
told Reuters.
"Yes, I have resigned but I still have four to six months to work, so I'm not going anywhere soon," he said.
Asked what he would be doing after that, he said an announcement would be made in the next few days.
Eskom was unavailable for comment.
