Tshwane - Foreign Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said in Cape Town on Thursday that all South Africans reported to have been affected by hurricane Katrina in New Orleans have now been located alive and well.
Dlamini-Zuma expressed gratitude to all foreign affairs consular officers both at home and in America for helping locate the affected South Africans, as well as families of those affected for their co-operation and patience in this regard.
The department of foreign affairs will continue to liaise with US authorities to determine whether there were any outstanding and unreported South Africans that may have been adversely affected.
