Car bomb targets restaurant

Kirkuk - A car bomb targeting a restaurant where bodyguards of Iraq's Kurdish deputy prime minister were eating killed nine people and wounded 25 in the country's north on Thursday, police said.
The bomb exploded at 08:00 in Tuz Khormato, a town 88km south of the northern oil city of Kirkuk, said police Brigadier Sarhad Qadre.
One of deputy prime minister Rowsch Nouri Shaways' bodyguards was among the nine killed. Twenty-five people were wounded, including six of Shaways' bodyguards. Shaways was not at the restaurant.
