Brother confirms US marine freed

Tripoli - A brother of a Lebanese-born US marine missing in Iraq and once feared to have been murdered by Islamist captors said Tuesday that he had been freed.
"We have received a call that reassured us. My brother is alive and has been freed, said Sami Hassoun, who lives in this northern Lebanese city, of his brother, Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun.
He refused to give any further details.
