Debate: Kerry beat Bush

Washington - Democrat John Kerry won the third presidential debate on Wednesday over Republican President George W Bush, according to instant polls taken by US television networks.
Nearly 52% of those polled by CNN said Kerry won the debate in Tempe, Arizona, while 39% said Bush won. The poll had a five percentage-point margin of error.
A poll by ABC showed 42% saying Kerry won, versus 41% who gave the victory to Bush. Nearly 14% called it a tie, which had a 4.5 percentage point margin of error.
In CBS's poll of uncommitted voters, 39% said Kerry won, 25% Bush and 36% called it a tie. The margin of error was seven percentage points.
