Jerusalem - A makeshift rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit southern Israel early on Sunday without causing any casualties, military sources said.
The attack happened as Israel wrapped up a deadly two-day raid on the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah which had sparked international condemnation.
The rocket, of the sort regularly used by Palestinian militant groups, landed harmlessly on a desert road outside the industrial town of Sderot, the sources said. - Sapa-AFP
