Shopping beats sex

Johannesburg - Most South African women prefer shopping to sex, is one of the findings of the Brutal Fruit Fantasy survey.
The survey was aimed at finding out exactly what South African women fantasise about.
The survey also showed that sexual fantasies did not even make the top 10 on women's fantasy lists.
Altogether 70% of the women respondents felt that they did not have enough clothes in their closets.
A full 48% believed that men would never understand what women really want, compared with 40% of the respondents who believed that men were sensitive but were just misunderstood.
A total of 75% of the women respondents admitted they had a shoe fetish.
More than half the women questioned, believed that men fantasised mainly about sex and felt men expected that women should have just as many sexual fantasies as they had.
The findings also showed that women liked to have fun, and about 72% of the respondents were in favour of weekends just for women.
About 78% fantasised about their own red-carpet moment at the Oscars, and 68% dreamed of holding a Hollywood-style party where most of the guests are famous.
About 64% of the respondents were crazy about the idea of having lunch with Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
Nearly half (49%) of the women believed their dreams would never come true.
The ten most popular feminine fantasies are:
Shopping in Johannesburg, Milan or Paris;
Shoes
Spending an unforgettable time on an island with their loved ones;
A remote island, an attractive man and a candle-lit meal;
Taking time off to spoil themselves;
Shopping and lunching with women friends and the actress Sarah Jessica Parker;
Appearing in a soap opera or a music video;
Being able to eat anything without counting the centimetres;
Ruling the world;
A romantic cruise on a luxury passenger liner.
