Beijing - Chinese state media say Beijing will hold a new round of talks with representatives of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, in July.
Xinhua News Agency said on Saturday that the "relevant central government department will meet personal representatives of the Dalai Lama" in early July, but did not give a specific date.
Xinhua quoted an unidentified government spokesperson as saying China hopes the Dalai Lama "would treasure this opportunity and give positive response to the requirements of the central authorities".
The last meeting was held May 4 in the southern city of Shenzhen.
