French Concorde's last flight
2003-05-30 12:14
Paris - The last commercial flight to New York by an Air France Concorde left Charles de Gaulle airport outside Paris on Friday.
The supersonic airliner - one of the French fleet of five - was to return to Paris on Saturday afternoon for the last ever commercial flight.
Air France and British Airways (BA) are taking Concorde out of service after 27 years in the skies because of falling passenger numbers and soaring costs.
BA will keep flying its fleet of seven until October.
