Gaza City - Two engineers from Britain and Austria who were kidnapped and held at a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday have been released, said a Palestinian interior ministry spokesperson.
Tawfiq Abu Qussa said: "The two men have been released."
Security sources said the pair were kidnapped overnight outside their residence in the Gaza City and held in the nearby Bureij refugee camp by members of a family who were trying to put pressure on the Palestinian authority to release seven jailed relatives.
