Berlin - A German barman was jailed for three years and five months on Friday after tricking a teenager into downing at least 45 shots of tequila during a drinking bet that resulted in the 16-year-old's death.
While the boy was knocking back tequila, the 28-year-old barman, identified as Aytac G, drank mainly water. The 16-year-old slipped into a coma and died four weeks later from alcohol poisoning.
The court convicted the barman of manslaughter over the February 2007 incident in Berlin.
