Rustenburg - The Rustenburg municipality in North West aims to ensure that at least five percent of its workforce comprises disabled people by the year 2010.
Rustenburg mayor Thabo Mabe said the municipality was aligning its self with government policy to hire more disabled people.
Handing over wheelchairs to four disabled people in Mamerotse near Rustenburg on Tuesday, Mabe said disabled people should come forward to be trained so that they were employable.
The municipality received the wheelchairs from the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality to help disabled people in the district.
