Connecticut - The non-profit group Save the Children is distributing a letter signed by 31 Nobel Peace Prize recipients that seeks help for millions of children trapped in war zones around the world.
The letter, released on Friday, marks the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Among those giving their support by signing the letter are former President Jimmy Carter, the Dalai Lama and South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Others are groups that received the prize over the years, such as Amnesty International and the Friends Service Council.
The letter calls on people across the world to help educate 37 million children who are trapped in conflict zones.
Save the Children is based in Westport, Connecticut. According to its website, the agency works to provide a better life for children in more than 110 countries.
