Colombo - Sri Lankan police arrested a Buddhist monk for impersonating a fellow clergyman at a university entrance examination, a press report said on Wednesday.
The monk, a lecturer at a Buddhist school, had forged an identity card and was caught answering the Buddhist civilisation question paper on behalf of a fellow clergyman, the Sinhalese-language Lankadeepa newspaper reported.
The monk was arrested during the examination on Tuesday in the eastern district of Ampara and an investigation was underway, the newspaper said.
