Group suicide: Six bodies found

Tokyo - Japanese police found the asphyxiated bodies of five men and one woman on Friday in a parked car in what is believed to be a group suicide that was arranged over the internet, said officials.

Reports on Friday said that the discovery of a second group suicide of three people was announced in northern Japan but police couldn't immediately confirm that account. Kyodo said the bodies were found on Wednesday.

Ichiro Fukumoto of Chichibu police said that in the deaths of the six, police said three charcoal stoves were found in the car and the windows were sealed with tape.

Fukumoto said police believed the six died on Thursday night. He said that the charcoal stoves were still smoking when authorities found the bodies.
