Pregnant mom burns lover

Hong Kong - A pregnant woman threw acid on her lover in an abortion clinic in southern China when he tried to force her to get rid of their baby, a news report said on Saturday.
The woman pulled out a bottle and threw acid into the man's face after arguing with him in the clinic, leaving him seriously burned, the Hong Kong edition of the China Daily newspaper said.
The couple had been dating for years, but the man reportedly refused to marry his girlfriend when she became pregnant because his parents did not approve of her.
Police arrested the woman on Thursday after the incident in Kaiping in Guangdong province. - Sapa-DPA
