Bogota - Attackers stabbed and seriously wounded Reuters news agency journalist William Parra, who in 2000 briefly took refuge in Spain after receiving death threats, the agency said on Monday.
Parra, 39, was having lunch with a friend at Zipaquira, north of the Colombian capital, on Sunday when he was attacked.
A man asked him to look at his car and stabbed him twice with a knife before fleeing with accomplices, according to Jesson Webb, the head of the Reuters bureau for Colombia.
His life was not thought to be threatened, but Webb said the journalist would need intensive treatment.
