Gaza withdrawal could be later

Jerusalem - The Israeli cabinet was to hold discussions on Sunday on a proposal to postpone by several months the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, slated for mid-August, a government source said.
The proposal was put forward by an opponent of the pullout, Agriculture Minister Israel Katz, a member of the hardline tendency of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's Likud party.
It stood little chance of being adopted, as Sharon and at least 13 ministers out of 21 were against the proposal.
