Baghdad - Roadside bombings targeting Iraqi soldiers in Baghdad and north of the capital killed six people on Monday, police said.
Two civilians were killed in Baghdad's southwestern Saydiya district when a bomb exploded as an Iraqi army convoy passed, said police lieutenant Hussein Alwan.
The blast, which happened about 07:00, also wounded four people, including two Iraqi civilians, Alwan added.
Another Iraqi army unit was attacked by a roadside bomb blast in Khan Bani Saad, a town 30km northeast of Baghdad, about 08:30, resulting in four soldiers being killed, said police colonel Mudafar Muhammed.
The soldiers were attacked after arriving at the town's fire station after it sustained a barrage of three mortars, Muhammed said.
Two soldiers and two civilians were also injured in the bomb blast, he added.
