New York - Forget taking the dog for a walk. This pooch would rather drive - himself, that is.
Musician Bryan Maher was in a Long Island café near New York when he noticed his Ford van on the move and his pooch Bentley, a hefty boxer and Shar-Pei mix, at the wheel.
"I left my car running because it's cold outside and I didn't want my dog to freeze," Maher told the Daily News on Thursday. "The next thing I knew, I looked up to see my van coming at me in the window."
Bentley, who had somehow set the parked vehicle in motion, crashed into the café window. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
"Aw, Bentley was wagging his tail afterward," café owner Patricia McCarthy told the News.
