Judge orders Pinochet's arrest

Santiago - A judge in Chile on Wednesday ordered that former dictator Augusto Pinochet be placed under house arrest on charges of fraud and other alleged crimes related to secret bank accounts he is said to have kept overseas.
Judge Carlos Cerda ordered the aging ex-dictator's detention as he also faces possible charges in connection with the disappearance decades ago of scores of left-wing activists who opposed his hardline regime, court officials said.
