Express train derails in Japan

Tokyo - One person died when an express train derailed on Sunday in northern Japan, Kyodo News agency reported.
Police refused to confirm the report of a death.
A fire official said that at least 29 people had been injured, one seriously, and that three people were still trapped in the wreckage.
Five cars the six-car express train derailed, and three of them toppled onto their sides, in Yamagata prefecture (state), the official from the Sakata fire department said on condition of anonymity, citing department rules.
