Windsor, England - Newlyweds Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, left for their honeymoon in Scotland on Saturday after their wedding in Windsor.
Nearly a thousand supporters who stayed on to wish them farewell cheered along the street as the couple, married hours earlier in the town west of London, drove off with "just married" scrawled in white across their car's back window.
The couple were due to fly to Aberdeen, northern Scotland, and then travel on to their Highland retreat at the royal residence Birkhall.
The newlyweds are expected to spend a week to 10 days at their hideaway, but will be breaking off from their honeymoon to carry out their first official engagement as man and wife by opening a nearby children's playground at Ballater.
Earlier on Saturday they were married before a small gathering of family members in Windsor's Guildhall, then blessed in Windsor Castle's Saint George's Chapel in a ceremony conducted by the Anglican Church leader Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams.
