Bangladeshi MP shot and killed

Dhaka - A Bangladeshi MP from the main Awami League opposition party has been shot and killed by unknown assailants while addressing a rally, a party spokesperson said on Friday.
A 12-year-old boy was killed in the crossfire while seven other people were injured in the attack, television news channels reported.
Ahsanullah Master was shot in the chest by gunmen and died later in hospital, Awami League secretary general Abdul Jalil said.
Privately owned ATN Bangla television channel said the boy died instantly. The condition of the seven injured was not immediately known.
The attack took place during an Awami League rally in an outlying district of the capital Dhaka, the reports said.
