Haitians not welcome in US

Washington - President George W Bush on Wednesday warned Haitians thinking of fleeing deadly unrest at home for US shores to "stay home," saying he had advised the Coast Guard to turn them away.
"I have made it abundantly clear to the Coast Guard that we will turn back any refugee that attempts to reach our shores. That message needs to be very clear, as well, to the Haitian people," Bush said.
"We strongly encourage the Haitian people to stay home as we search for a political solution to this problem," the president said. - Sapa-AFP
