Jerusalem - Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was transferred to intensive care after seven hours of surgery, and his vital signs are stable, the director of Hadassah Hospital said Thursday.
The director, Shlomo Mor-Yosef, said Sharon remains in serious condition.
He said the surgery stopped the massive bleeding in Sharon's brain, and that he was transferred to the intensive care unit after the surgery.
