No extradition for Rwandan

Bern - Swiss authorities say they will not extradite a former Rwandan minister wanted for alleged involvement in the 1994 genocide in the African country.
The Swiss Justice Ministry says Rwanda's extradition request lacks detail and fails to guarantee that the suspect's basic rights would be respected if he were to be handed over.
The ministry says the former Rwandan minister for tourism and environment has been living in Switzerland since 1995.
It declined to disclose the man's name in line with Swiss privacy laws.
The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that Rwanda could ask Switzerland to take over the criminal proceedings against the minister.
