Racism text to be published

Geneva - A dispute over the African slave trade that was holding up the publication of final documents from a UN anti-racism conference in South Africa four months ago has been resolved, the UN said on Thursday.
Publication of the texts was delayed by a "difference of views
or perceptions regarding mainly where to place several paragraphs
of text" drafted towards the end of the conference, a statement by the Office of the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights said.
Welcoming the move, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary
Robinson, who was also the conference's secretary-general, said the agenda set by the August 31-September 8 meeting was now a "living, breathing document".
"With this agenda in our hands, we can regain the momentum
created by the Conference and get down to the business of making
the commitments made at Durban a reality," she said in the
statement.
