Plane disappears in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro - A Brazilian passenger plane carrying 33 people has disappeared over the Amazon region near the city of Manaos, airline officials said on Saturday.
The Rico Airlines plane took off from the town of Sao Paulo de Olivenca near the border with Colombia and was scheduled to stop at Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira but never arrived there, the officials said.
A search team was on the way to the region.
