Madrid - Spanish police have made another arrest in Spain in connection with last month's bombings in Madrid, investigators said on Wednesday.
The suspect was arrested in the city of Toledo, about 80km south of Madrid.
Police have been hunting for suspects they believe may have escaped a police stakeout in a Madrid suburb at the weekend in which six presumed train bombers were killed.
A total of 191 people died in the March 11 railway attacks, the worst terror strike in Spain, while about 1 900 were injured.
The latest suspect detained is a Moroccan who police believe is linked to Basel Ghayoun, a Syrian facing charges of murder and terrorism as well as belonging to a terrorist organisation.
He is considered to have played a key role in the attacks, Spanish news agency Europa Press quoted anti-terrorist sources as saying, and is due to appear before examining judge Juan del Olmo in the coming days, though a date has yet to be specified.
Another Moroccan arrested last Friday in the Spanish North African enclave of Ceuta was to appear before Del Olmo later Wednesday.
