Islamabad - Alleged Al-Qaeda terror mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was flown out of Pakistan on Tuesday, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid said.
"We have completed our investigation and the man has been flown out of Pakistan," Rashid said.
A senior security official said Mohammed and a second al-Qaeda suspect arrested on Saturday were flown to Afghanistan just after 07:00.
"The two have been flown out of Pakistan to Kabul about one hour ago," the official said on condition of anonymity.
He said the departure was arranged after Kuwaiti authorities granted permission.
"Sheikh was given to US custody after Kuwaiti government permission," the official said.
Mohammed was born in Kuwait to Pakistani parents.
