Charles De Gaulle Airport, France - New cracking noises have been heard in the roof of a terminal at Paris's Charles De Gaulle airport which partially collapsed on Sunday, and security personnel there have been told to evacuate the building, airport officials said on Monday.
The noises were heard on either side of the 30m section of futuristic terminal 2E which gave way on Sunday morning, causing the deaths of four people.
"Given the situation, it was judged best to evacuate everyone," an official said.
On Sunday the collapse of the terminal's roof was heralded by cracking noises and falling dust, witnesses said.
Fire crews and investigators were in the building on Monday morning, as an enquiry got under way into the cause of the disaster.
"Engineers will have to decide if they can go back in later this afternoon," the official said.
