London - Britain remains open to a diplomatic solution in the Western stand-off with Iran over its disputed nuclear programme, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Tuesday.
"We've always said we wanted a diplomatic solution," a spokesperson for Blair's Downing Street office said.
"The onus is on Iran to meet its international obligations. That's how we'll judge any proposals and any progress."
