Johannesburg - Three vehicles were stolen and a man watching over cars was abducted when about 10 armed men raided a church service at the Randfontein College on the West Rand.
Captain Tshisikhawe Ndou of the West Rand police said the
armed men overpowered the guard watching cars and forced him
into a kombi. Meanwhile, some of the other suspects broke into two bakkies and a Mercedes and made off with the vehicles.
Ndou said: "The windows of seven other vehicles were broken, but the vehicles were not stolen.
"The car-watch man was later released near Zuurbekom in Westonaria."
Ndou did not know which church group was holding a service at the college at the time.
Nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident yet.
